Hornbeam – Carpinus bet. ‘Fastigiata’

Hornbeam, with its dense foliage, makes a wonderful slender specimen tree or can be used for topiary. The ovate, glossy, deeply ribbed foliage is mid-green turning bright yellows and oranges in the autumn. As a young tree, ‘Fastigiata’ is very narrow and columnar, but broadens significantly with age. Slow to moderate growth rate.
